Front doors won’t stay open ? Are you sick of having to hold the door open while you get out?? How many times has the front door slammed on your shin as you tried to get out of the car? Well , the problem is most likely the detent or “hold-open” springs on the top door hinge being broken , worn or weak. With this repair kit you can fix all of those problems!
This kit contains 4 new detent springs and 8 hollow rivets which is enough to do both front doors. There are 2 springs fitted to each top hinge only on each front door for FE, FC, FB, EK, EJ, EH, HD and HR models.
If you require a half kit for 1 door only these are available too , please contact me. These are relatively easy to install but it does require the removal of the door and then the top hinge assembly.
If you are not confident in performing this operation I can do it for you at extra cost- please contact me if you require a hinge restoration service ( I can supply and fit new bushes and pivot pin at the same time at extra cost also).
